This is classic saundersii. Straight up flask shaped caudex.

The operative word here is sub-species (ssp). Not to be confused with Pachypodium lealii. The two are very different.

It's a great pachypodium for cultivation at any level. A moderate grower, it makes a huge caudex in just a few years. And don't overlook the bright silvery body and attractive glossy leaves. Indeed a classic.
