The color of this striking Madagascan species is its main feature but unlike many species in this genus, it's not a fast grower. In time it makes a compact small shrub of bright coppery stems.

The color is at its peak during the summer months when the plants are dormant and when in growth it fades to a reddish gray. Exceptional!
